RunSignup, the leading all-in-one platform for endurance and fundraising events in the U.S., now allows races to use their own custom domain with their RunSignup race website. Races who buy (or already own) a branded domain from a domain registrar (such as GoDaddy or Google Domains) can transfer that domain to RunSignup for free, keeping the race’s brand front and center while participants register.
RunSignup released their first quarterly update of 2019, showing strong growth in registrations and transactions. Additionally, the company increased internal capacity and upgraded the technology available to customers.
RunSignup announces the new annual Alan Jones Timer Award to recognize an industry race timer who has made a significant impact on improving the race industry. Named in honor of Alan Jones, an innovative contributor to the endurance racing and timing community, the Alan Jones Timer Award will acknowledge those who have proactively improved the race community. As the backbone of the race industry, timers have the opportunity to guide race organizers toward innovation and to elevate the experience for participants and spectators. Selection for the Alan Jones Timer Award is based on nominations received that illustrate a race timer who has shown exceptional efforts to improve the industry.
RunSignup announces RaceJoy is now available through certified timers across the country. During RunSignup’s RaceDay Timer Certification Tour in January, 240 timers were trained in RaceJoy’s mapping technology and are now able to offer RaceJoy as part of their race day timing services. Since the certification training, timers have already signed up 135 races with RaceJoy. Races offer RaceJoy to participants and spectators for an interactive race day experience through key features such as real-time GPS tracking, continual progress updates, cheer sending, and live results.
