Welcome to the NELA (North East Louisiana) Summer Track & Field Club, where athletes of all levels come together to train, compete, and grow stronger—on and off the track. Open to youth ages 6 to 18, our club offers a fun, structured summer program focused on speed, strength, and skill development across all track and field events.

We compete in AAU and USATF sanctioned meets across the region, giving athletes the opportunity to qualify for championship-level competition while building lifelong discipline, friendships, and confidence.

Whether your athlete is new to the sport or aiming for nationals, they’ll receive professional coaching, personal attention, and a team experience they’ll never forget.

AAU/USATF Track & Field Age Divisions:

age groups are based on the athlete’s age as of December 31st of the current year:

8 & Under (Born 2017 or later)

9 Years Old (Born 2016)
10 Years Old (Born 2015)
11 Years Old (Born 2014)
12 Years Old (Born 2013)
13 Years Old (Born 2012)
14 Years Old (Born 2011)
15-16 Years Old (Born 2009–2010)
17-18 Years Old (Born 2007–2008)

Athletes who are 18 but turn 19 after August 31 are still eligible.

All athletes, recreational and competitive, must have a AAU and USATF membership to participate for insurance purposes. Please wait to obtain your membership until you have successfully registered with us. These fees cannot be reimbursed. MORE INFO BELOW

USATF and AAU athlete memberships
Most developmental meets do not require a USATF or AAU membership. However, competitive club athletes who plan to participate in a meet to qualify for the National Junior Olympics will need to purchase a membership to USATF and/or AAU. We will give out our code as soon as we have one to attach your athlete to our organization. so again please wait on obtaining AAU/USATF membership!
