On October 29th, 2020 just 1 day after his 61st Birthday a CT revealed a mass on Steve's Pancreas. A Biopsy on 11/5 confirmed Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. The doctors confirmed on the 8th of November that Steve did have Pancreatic Cancer.
He is currently completing his chemo and that will be followed by 5 days of radiation. Once the radiation is over, he will have a Whipple Procedure done to remove the head of the pancreas. The surgery will be scheduled 6-8 weeks after the radiation.
The Whipple Procedure is a 9-10 procedure with a 10-12 day stay in the hospital. Everyone who knows Steve, knows how much he enjoys walking to stay in shape, especially during chemo. What better way to show support, then to walk for him, when he is unable.
