In January 2023, our world changed when my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer at just 55 years old. He faced every step of the journey with courage, determination, and hope—enduring chemotherapy, radiation, and participating in two clinical trials at the National Institutes of Health in the fight for more time and better options for himself and others.
After a brave 27-month battle, my dad passed away on May 17, 2025. We miss him deeply every single day.
We’re running this 5K to honor his memory, his strength, and his fight—and to help fund the research that offers hope to other families facing this devastating disease. Every step we take and every dollar raised goes toward advancing treatments, expanding clinical trials, and one day, finding a cure.
