In Indiana in 2025—42,150 people are expected to be diagnosed with cancer. Of those, 14,080 are expected to lose their lives to cancer.
Cancer Support Community exists so that no one faces cancer alone. Hoosiers Outrun Cancer funds FREE cancer support programs located in Bloomington, IN including: counseling, support groups, nutrition & exercise classes, oncology massage therapy, reiki, cancer education, social connections, and FREE resources such as wigs, food & transportation assistance, comfort kits, radiation kits, chemo kits, and more.
In 2024 Hoosiers Outrun Cancer helped provide services to 1,034 Hoosiers who attended CSC programs 4,559 times! Below are a few of the amazing accomplishments of Hoosiers Outrun Cancer Fundraising:
- 101 Cancer patients provided food & transportation assistance during active treatments
- 298 Support Group attendance
- 319 Individual Counseling sessions
- 280 Oncology Massages provided
- 329 Exercise Class attendance

Registration fees for Hoosiers Outrun Cancer do not include a donation—they cover the cost of a shirt, bib, timing chip, race expenses, and event expenses. If you would like to help fund the programs above, consider making a donation above the registration fee. You can also share your team or individual fundraising page and ask others to contribute toward your team or individual fundraising goal. All funds stay in South Central Indiana supporting cancer patients and their families in Bloomington, Monroe County, and surrounding areas. Our goal this year is to collectively raise $60,000 in donations to support these programs.
