I’m running the GW Bridge Challenge on June 7 in honor of my dad.
My dad was my hero — my steady presence, my supporter, and the person who taught me how to keep going when things felt hard. He lived with strength, integrity, and a heart that always put others first. Those lessons didn’t leave when he did — they live on in the way I show up every day.
I’m proud to be running in support of the American Cancer Society, an organization that supports patients, families, and lifesaving research. Cancer is a fight that demands strength, resilience, and courage — and in many ways, running this bridge reflects that same challenge. The climb is hard. The path can feel overwhelming. But step by step, you keep going.
Running has become a meaningful way for me to honor my dad. Each step represents his strength, his resilience, and the love he poured into everyone around him. This challenge isn’t just about the miles — it’s about carrying his legacy forward in a way that feels personal and true.
I’ve set a goal to raise $1,000 in his honor. If you feel called to support this journey — whether by donating, sharing, or simply cheering from afar — please know it means more than I can put into words. Your support helps fund critical cancer research and care, and it helps me honor a man who meant everything to me.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Every step is for him. Always.
