James Pass Arboretum is a treasured gem of Syracuse, especially to those who live in the Tipperary Hill neighborhood. In 1925, Mayor Walrath made an announcement of the land gifted by the Pass Family.

The City Of Syracuse recently celebrated its 100 year anniversary of the arboretum and big plans are ahead for this green space.

The plans are to transform this space into a beautiful sanctuary inspired by historical landscape features, become accredited arboretum, and create educational "classrooms" for community members to learn more about the featured plants, trees, and shrubs.
