We are so excited to present "Strong Like Katelyn", a Children's Champion Team in partnership with the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon &1/2 Marathon. Having undergone treatment at NCH for nearly 5 years, we understand the need for cutting edge technology and treatments as we unite to find a cure for pediatric cancer.
The team Strong Like Katelyn (SLK) fundraising goal for this program is $15,000 and any contribution you can make is greatly appreciated.
In 2020, Katelyn was just 5 years old, when she was diagnosed with Stage 4, high-risk Neuroblastoma. She has been going through medical treatment at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for almost 5 years. Throughout the challenges that she has faced, Katelyn continues to trust God’s plan for her life. She always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She is courageous, faithful, fearless and inspires so many people as she continues her cancer treatment journey. Having spent countless hours inside the hospital, she knows exactly what is needed to spread joy and be a light of hope while also undergoing treatments herself. As a former Mile Champion, (Mile 3, 2023), Katelyn's wish this year is to raise funds to help children like herself, and others who are in dire need of treatment and a cure.
