Catherine Morrill Day Nursery (CMDN) is Maine’s first licensed child care center and has maintained
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation since the 1990s. We
serve children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, prioritizing low- to moderate-income families (at least 51%
served). Our mission is to foster each child’s total development in a safe, nurturing environment while
supporting families, including immigrants, single parents, unhoused families, and children with special needs.
