Pedal the Cause

Dear friends and family,

On September 21st I will be riding 100 miles for a World Without Cancer in Pedal the Cause. The event is Siteman Cancer Center's major fundraiser each year, and all of the money raised supports cancer research at Siteman and St. Louis Children's Hospital. I've seen firsthand the progress we're making in treating leukemias and lymphomas because Pedal the Cause provided the funds to start cutting edge research projects. Now in its 16th year, the event has raised over $45,000,000 and funded over 225 cancer research projects. Best of all, the impact is magnified because for every $1 Pedal the Cause donates to cancer research, an additional $13 is obtained in outside funding.

This year I am riding with Team Leukemia, which is comprised of doctors, nurses, patients, and supporters of the stem cell transplant and leukemia group at Siteman/Wash U. We ride in honor of our patients, family, and friends who have battled leukemias, lymphomas, and multiple myeloma.  Please consider donating to this cause.
