Crown Counseling began as a small practice founded by Suzy Bonaventura-Krischke in 2008 in Crown Point, Indiana. Over the years, it has grown into one of Lake County, Indiana's largest mental health agencies. In November 2015, Crown Counseling opened its new central location at 1308 N Main St. in Crown Point, allowing further expansion.
The agency offers various diagnostic and therapeutic services, including individual, family, and group therapy. Its team consists of highly skilled therapists with Master’s degrees from accredited institutions who provide various therapeutic modalities to meet client needs. Crown Counseling also offers case management services, such as parenting education, supervised visitation, mentoring, and tutoring, all overseen by clinical supervisors and a staff psychologist.
Crown Counseling accepts most major health insurance and provides financial assistance for lower-income individuals and families.
