My husband, Olisa, was a loving father, a devoted husband, and a man of faith. He carried strength, kindness, and quiet courage in every season of his life. When sarcoma entered our story, it changed everything, but it never changed who he was or the faith we held onto together.
There were days filled with uncertainty, fear, and prayers whispered through tears. Yet even in the hardest moments, Olisa trusted God. He believed that his life had purpose beyond his diagnosis, and that God was still good even when the road was painful and unclear.
Losing Olisa has been the greatest heartbreak of my life. Grief has stretched me in ways I never imagined, but so has grace. I have learned that faith does not mean the absence of sorrow, it means choosing to trust God while carrying it.
This Cure for Sarcoma 5K is my way of honoring Olisa's life, his strength, and his legacy. Every step I take is a prayer for healing, for hope, and for the families who are now walking a road we never wanted to travel.
I walk believing that God can bring purpose from pain. I walk believing that love outlives loss. And I walk believing that one day, sarcoma will no longer steal the lives of those we love.
Thank you for supporting this fundraiser, for remembering Olisa with us, and for standing with families affected by sarcoma. Your generosity, prayers, and encouragement mean more than words can express.
We walk by faith, and we walk for Olisa.
