Hi, I’m Victoria—a 36-year-old wife, mother, sister, daughter, and a 3-time survivor and fighter of Synovial Sarcoma. For the past 14 years, I’ve been in the fight of my life. While this journey was never something I would have chosen, it has shaped me into the woman I am today. I’ve endured the removal of two-thirds of my lung and six ribs, survived a life-threatening AVM (arteriovenous malformation) that placed me on life support, and pushed through a stroke—just to name a few of the challenges along the way. And yet… I am still here. Sarcoma awareness is something the world needs more of. It’s rare, often overlooked, and can begin showing signs early in life. My own symptoms started as young as 13. That’s why we created Team “Battle Born.” This is more than a name—it’s my purpose. I was born to share the reality of life’s uncertainties, to spread awareness, and to remind others that no matter how difficult the journey may be, there is always hope.
