Thank you for considering supporting my fundraising mission for Chris Klug Foundation (CKF).
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, I’ll run the BMW Berlin Marathon (fastest course of all the World Marathon Majors; even the name sounds fast) for CKF, a national nonprofit that educates on the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
Why CKF? I am grateful to take on this challenge to pursue my World Marathon Majors medal (I've run 5 out of 7 of these races so I'm nearing my goal). There are still more than 103,000 people in the U.S. who cannot commit to this type of task because they're awaiting a lifesaving transplant. 17 of these people die each day waiting for their transplant. And every 9 minutes, someone new is added to that waitlist. Just one person has the ability to save up to 8 lives as an organ donor and improve up to 75 lives through tissue and eye donation.
Although 96% of U.S. adults support the idea of organ donation, only 48% are actually registered as organ donors. I’m registered as an organ and tissue donor and am running in the hopes of encouraging others to be, too, as we aim to eliminate the wait for a transplant.
Please help me raise funds for CKF to continue their lifesaving mission. The smallest amount helps and 100% of your donation is tax-deductible. Donations can be made via credit card or check.
Thank you, I sincerely appreciate your support!
