Our beloved daughter, Lori went to heaven in 2013 after 40 months of suffering with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Lori had been the “poster child” for health. This was so shocking for everyone who knew her. She was a gifted and compassionate physician, a wonderful daughter and sibling and an amazing mother to her two small children (they were her world). Her dream was to keep others from enduring what she did. She began a fun, lively charity event called Hunt For Hope to raise research dollars.  After her passing it has evolved into Strikes against Cancer. 
For years, fueled by our care for everyone touched by breast and inflammatory breast cancer, we've poured our hearts into funding crucial research. This dedication has blossomed into something incredible: Ohio's very first Inflammatory Breast Cancer Program at The James Cancer Hospital's Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center! It is one of only a handful in the nation.
