Many of you know that Katherine, my daughter, was diagnosed with dyslexia in 2nd grade and is currently starting her junior year in college. I witnessed first-hand how support and understanding of dyslexia can make a difference in a child’s life.
I want to keep raising awareness about dyslexia to ensure that children living with dyslexia have access to critical resources. I am happy to be on the board of the the International Dyslexia Association of Los Angeles. It is a nonprofit organization with the mission to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia, to promote effective intervention practices, and to support individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the field.
