The Haven endeavors to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring in the Charlottesville area. 

Consider how your support can have a direct impact on our neighbors:

    -- $50 covers a rental application fee, a first step in accessing housing

    -- $200 allows us to serve a hot and nutritious breakfast meal, serving upwards of 100 people

    -- $600 is a month of utilities to keep the shelter warm, the water hot (for 500 showers every month!), and so much more

    -- $3,000 covers the initial costs for a family to move into a 2-bedroom apartment

New this year! Every participant will automatically get their own individual fundraising page and there are 3 ways you can make an impact: 

(1) Make a donation! Your donation helps us provide hot meals, showers, laundry, warmth, and personal connection to more than 500 of our unsheltered neighbors every day of the year. View your donation on your fundraising page!

(2) Be a fundraiser! Fundraise individually by sharing your personal fundraiser page with friends, family, coworkers, book clubs, fitness groups, or otherwise. Don't underestimate the impact of a few small donations!

(3) Fundraise as a team! Who says running isn't a team sport! Create or join a fundraising team to truly be a partner in our work to support our neighbors as they survive their time of crisis and pursue housing stability.
