This year, our team “Run to the Top for Rolf” is dedicated to the memory of Rolf Beckhusen, who lost his battle with cancer in 2022. Rolf was the father of three, Opa to five grand children, and coached many youth sports teams in the Whatcom County community. Rolf was an avid sports fan who loved rooting for the Seattle Mariners and sponsored an adult softball team called “The Rolf’s” for over twenty years.
Rolf’s daughter, Lisa Aspessi, and granddaughter, Madeline, will be climbing to raise money for cancer research in his memory, along with our many teammates.
I am participating in Seattle’s Most Iconic Climb, Base 2 Space on September 28th, to support Fred Hutch Cancer Center through the Space Needle Foundation. Donate today and help us get closer to our $750,000 goal!
