The Anchorage Running Club is a 501 (c)(3) all volunteer organization. Its mission is to promote a healthy life style through running and exercise. Funds raised by the club go toward the support of community running events, the creation of new events throughout the year, the ARC scholarship program for deserving high school seniors, and high school sports teams.
One of the goals of the ARC and Anchorage RunFest is to raise scholarship funds for Alaska high school runners to help out with their education expenses. Each year the ARC receives dozens of applications and chooses outstanding students to receive college scholarships. In 2024 ARC awarded two $3500 scholarships to outstanding students!
