Our 16th year participating to raise money for those fighting breast cancer who are under or uninsured in Mchenry County. Both myself and Tina will be at the 5K. Hannah B from nights on Star 105.5 is supporting and her mom is a survivor.
We are reprising the name Maura’s Minions. We walked for her battle 10 years ago and lost her this past year. Remembering Maura will be part of this year and anyone we’ve lost to the breast cancer battle. Chrissy, Andy, and their family will be there.
As you may or may not know I lost my mom to breast cancer in 2008. Others on our team have experienced this loss or our breast cancer survivors themselves.
Donations are all ear marked for those battling breast cancer in our area. The Mchenry outdoor theater will be part of this year’s push for donations and we are showing Grease followed by Little Shop of Horrors October 10 and 11th at the drive in.
Dan and Jackie Hoyland of Martin Chevrolet will join us once again. She is a breast cancer survivor and they come along with the staff, our champions in the fight against breast cancer.
