We looked at our April 19th date optimistically when we were told to "shelter in place" for two weeks at the beginning of April.
We had a conversation with the rangers at Millerton Lake State Recreation Area and discussed the need to maintain a 6 foot distance. Our tentative plans involved a rolling start, and limiting to two athletes per rack. Since that time, they have canceled all events at the park and can not yet give a date when they can resume.
We have tentatively rescheduled with USAT for June 7th. This is completely contingent on Millerton Lake reopening for events. We do not plan on canceling the event. We are not taking additional registrations until we are firm on the new date.
Currently registered participants will have an option to participate on the rescheduled date, transfer to the Huntington Lake Traiathlon or the Shaver Lake Triathlon, or to defer their entry to 2021.
We are working on a timed "Solo Duathlon", which will be available soon and free to all pre-registered participants at the Millerton Lake Triathlon. More details to come.

The Millerton Lake Sprint Triathlon has long been known as a great "first lake swim" triathlon, and a warm up for the upcoming season. But don't let the bike and run distances fool you, there are a few steep hills on the ride, and the trail portion of run is a challenge.
More of a good thing... The Olympic Distance has a more challenging swim, two loops of the bike course, and two loops of the run course with a trail run heading out, a paved road coming back and beautiful Millerton Lake as the backdrop.
A USAT membership is required for the Triathlon, (but not the 5k/10k) If you do not have one, you can purchase one during the registration process.
Total participation at this event is capped at 250. Register before it is sold out.
There is a $10 vehicle entrance fee. We recommend car pooling if possible.
