Get ready to run, bike, and celebrate at the 9th Annual Tobin Bolter Memorial Kids Duathlon on Saturday, September 13, 2025!
Hosted by the Treasure Valley YMCA and Ada County, this exciting event invites young athletes to test their endurance and build confidence in a supportive, high-energy environment.
Designed for kids ages 3-12, the duathlon features race distances tailored to each age group, giving every child the chance to shine.
Families can enjoy a fun-filled day with opening ceremonies, thrilling races, and a special award ceremony to celebrate all participants.
Plus, there will be crafts, face painting, and delicious food to enjoy!

*For parents of our 3 year old competitors (who will mostly be on asphalt and will only do the running portion on the trail), if your child needs you to run the race with them for moral support then you are welcome to do that! For those above 3, we do not allow anyone to bike/run with them.

Ada County Sheriff's Office Deputy Tobin Bolter was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 21, 2024. Deputy Bolter was just 27-years-old, with seven years of dedicated law enforcement service. He lived every day with purpose, treating others with respect and kindness, and his memory remains an inspiration to those who knew and loved him.
In recognition of his lifelong passion for running and athletics, the kids' duathlon was renamed in his honor in 2024, ensuring his legacy continues to inspire young athletes.
