Description

One of the original multisport festivals in Arkansas...the DeGray Lake Triathlon will feature three triathlon distances (olympic, sprint and super sprint), a duathlon (sprint), aquabike (olympic) and an open water swim (olympic). There will be a team category for the olympic triathlon.

DeGray Lake is a reservoir on the Caddo River in Arkansas. This beautiful lake and surrounding Ouachita mountains near Hot Springs and Little Rock is an Arkansas resort state park.

Olympic Triathlon: 1,500 meter swim, 42 kilometer bike, 10 kilometer run.  Individuals and teams.
Sprint Triathlon: 500 yard swim, 13.5 mile bike, 5K run.  Individuals only
Super Sprint Triathlon: 225 yard swim, 6 mile bike, 2 mile run.  Individuals only
Sprint Duathlon: Run 1: 2 miles, Bike: 13.5 miles  Run 2:  3.1 miles
Aquabike (swim and bike only): 1,500 meter swim, 42 kilometer bike.  Individuals only
Open Water Swim: 1,500 meter swim

Race Venue Information:

  • DeGray Lake, Arkadelphia, AR
  • 2.5 miles North on Hwy 7 from Interstate 30, exit 78.  Turn left onto Skyline Drive.
  • Spillway Trail Head (The Spillway Dam Area) is rougly 8/10ths of a mile west of the intersection of Skyline Dr and Hwy 7.

Entry Fees Priced With A T-Shirt

Entry Fees are priced with a ringspun cotton t-shirt , but a participant has the option to select no t-shirt and SAVE $5 or upgrade fabric to a full sublimated technical wicking fabric shirt for $15. Shirt size not guaranteed after Aug 29. If a shirt is ordered and the size is not available then a refund will be issued at packet pickup.  

Race T-Shirt Fabric Options and Styles:

  • NO Shirt Option - Save $5
  • Ringspun Cotton T-shirt (NO CHARGE) - 100% cotton unisex sizing.
  • Fully Sublimated Technical T-shirt ($15 upgrade fee) - A true moisture wicking-fabric shirt that has been engineered to keep you dry while you exercise. There are plenty of polyester shirts out there, but this one is the real deal. Both men and women specific sizing.  Example can be viewed HERE.
Packet Pickup

PACKET PICKUP / ONSITE REGISTRATION

New!  You may leave your bike in transition during packet pickup on Saturday!  There will be overnight security.  

  • All participants MUST pick up their own packets.  No one else may pick up an athlete's packet.
  • Both a valid PHOTO ID and a current USAT MEMBERSHIP license are required.
  • NOTE: cell phone and internet connectivity may be spotty please either bring a hard copy of USAT membership or take a screenshot on your phone before leaving home.

Saturday, September 11
Packet Pickup and Onsite Registration will be from 4 - 7 pm at the Spillway Dam Recreation Area. Google map coordinates - https://goo.gl/maps/Uz7c5ZuonT9pucF18 Look for the registration tent and flags.  There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION, but you may register online until midnight September 11.  Chips will be issued on Race Day ONLY.

Sunday, September 12 - RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP ONLY
All events: Packets may be picked up on race day from 6 - 7:30 am at Spillway Dam Recreation Area.  Look for the registration tent and flags. Chips will be issued at the entrance to Transition. There is no race-day registration.

Race Schedule

Saturday:

  • 4 - 7:00 pm: Early Transition Set-up (overnight security provided)
  • 4 - 7:00 pm: Packet Pickup & Registration

Sunday:

  • 6:00 am:  Transition Opens
  • 6:00 am:  Packet Pickup Begins
  • 7:40 am:  Mandatory pre-race meeting with USAT official
  • 7:50 am:  Prayer and National Anthem
  • 7:55 am:  Final access to transition area
  • 8:00 – 8:10 am:  Super-Sprint Triathlon - all participants
  • 8:15 am:  Duathlon start
  • 8:15 – 8:25 am:  Sprint Triathlon – all participants
  • 8:30 – 8:45 am:  Olympic distance – all participants
  • 9:30 am:  Food to be served
  • 10:00 am:  Awards (in order of finish)
