A HUGE "Thank You" to all participants. This event "SOLD OUT" early!  We Sold Out at 300 participants, ordered extra, squeezed in the final 13, and had to turn away another 12 people, unfortunately. This race set a new record for participants in the last 5 years.

Notice: Some of our awards were in a small box under the awards table, found after the event was finished, so we will get those awards out to the people who won them. No one was upset about us not finding these awards, and they said they really liked the event and that it was a great time. For that, we thank you. Now that we have found that box of awards, we are going to make sure we get those awards to everyone. Our apologies.

• The two Team Awards will be issued to:
  • TriPhobic & KLR (Kennedy Law Racing)
• The 1st Timer Awards were issued in one category, and we are sending out 10 more awards to the other 1st-time athletes in the remaining categories.
• Aqua Bike: Because we issued so many awards, just about everyone received an award, and we will get your awards to you as well.

We received a lot of positive feedback, and thank you all for that, and for being understanding about the awards. No one really cared or got upset about the missing awards, but we just had to make sure we made the necessary adjustments so you all could receive them. 

Race Management

PACKET PICKUP IS AVAILABLE RACE MORNING, BUT WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO PICK UP YOUR PACKETS THURSDAY  or Friday AT PLAYTRI IN ST. Petersburg.

You must furnish a photo ID and proof of current USAT membership. If you do not have a USAT membership, you will be required to purchase a one-day license. If you can not attend Packet Pick-Up but someone else you know can go or is attending, just text them a copy of your driver's license, and they can show it at packet pick-up and pick up your packet, no problem!

Only one (1) relay team member must be present, and you may pick up all relay packets for your relay team.

Refund Policy
The Escape from Ft DeSoto Triathlon reserves the right, in the event of inclement weather, an emergency, or a natural disaster, to cancel the race or reschedule it to a later time. We WILL defer all participants to the next year. We will NEVER just keep your money and prevent you from competing in another race.  

IMPORTANT NOTE: All bike riders must be off the street by 9:00 am. The Sheriff will open the park gates, and the public will begin entering. This is nothing new, and it will continue to be enforced at all Triathlons/Duathlons held at Fort Desoto.
