La Porte County 44th Annual Sprint Triathlon presented by NWI Triathletes

The 44th Annual La Porte County Sprint Triathlon and Triathlon Relay will consist of a 500 meter lake swim, a 12.4 mile bike and a 3.4 mile run.

The course begins in Soldiers Memorial Park at the Stone Lake Beach House and winds through scenic La Porte County. 

We will also offer a Duathlon and Duathlon Relay option consisting of a 1.5 mile run, 12.4 mile bike, and a 3.4 mile run.

**Clydesdale/Athena divisions are for males weighing over 220lbs and females weighing over 165lbs**

*This race will be capped at 300 participants*

 

Registration Fees for USAT Members*: 

Early Registration (On or before June 15th) 

Triathlon - $70

Triathlon Relay - $90

Duathlon - $60

Duathlon Relay - $80

Late Registration ( June 16th – July 12th) - All races price increases $10.

Relay Teams - first member pays full price (see above), each additional member pays $0.

*For non USAT Members, a 1-day race pass will need to be purchased through USAT for an additional $15

No race day registration.  All participants must pre-register for the event. Registration closes 7/12/2024 at 5PM CT.

6:15AM – 7:30 AM Packet Pick-Up - Cummings Lodge

6:15AM - Transition Opens

7:45AM - New Racer Orientation and announcements prior to race start - Stone Lake Beach House 

8:00AM - Duathlon Begins 

8:05AM - Triathlon Begins

RACE COURSE 

500 meter swim 

Swimmers will be assigned a wave for race day. The swim is held in the beautiful Stone Lake on a modified triangle course. USAT rules will be followed for wetsuit allowances.

12.4 mile bike 

12.4 miles of curves, flats, hills and scenic country and lakeside roads will challenge your legs and please your eyes. Bike helmets are mandatory; you cannot participate without one. The bike course is closed to most traffic.

5K run 

Your race will conclude with a hilly 5K(ish) run through Soldiers Memorial Park and around Stone Lake. There are many lake views and a few small hills. A cold beverage and snacks await you at the finish line.

AWARDS 

All registrants will receive a medal at the finish line.

Awards ceremony will begin after last finisher, or no later than 10:15AM outside Cummings Lodge.

$50 cash prize for the overall male and female finishers and overall Masters (over age 40) male and female finishers. 

*Age is determined by the age of the participant on December 31st, 2024.

Individual and team awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age category.

 

SPLASH N DASH Event Details

This event is open to children ages 7-15

Check in will begin at 10:30AM for an 11:00AM start.

Please be aware that check in and setup will be occurring at the tail-end of the adult sprint triathlon. Parking and access will be limited.
