Clearwater's Paddle for Our Hudson
Description
Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is proud to announce our newest fundraiser, Paddle for Our Hudson! Embark on a summer challenge that gets you out on the water while raising funds for a good cause. From Memorial Day weekend to the end of July, keep track of the distance you paddle and raise money for each mile through donations from your peers. Whether on a canoe, kayak, a rowboat or stand up paddle board, all are welcome to Paddle for Our Hudson!
Funds raised through Paddle for Our Hudson will directly support Hudson River Sloop Clearwater's award-winning environmental education and advocacy programs. For over 50 years Clearwater has fought for a healthy Hudson River and there is still a job to be done! Can you paddle 55 miles in honor of Clearwater's 55th sailing season?

Don't live in the Hudson Valley? You can participate from anywhere that you can paddle!
The Challenge
Can you paddle 55 miles for Clearwater’s 55th sailing season?
Since 1969, Sloop Clearwater has been a beacon of environmental care and stewardship throughout the Hudson River Valley. With 2 months to complete the challenge, can you paddle 55 miles for Clearwater's 55th sailing season? While this is a suggested goal, please note that any distance paddled and fundraised is a huge support. Every mile paddled and dollar raised go towards supporting clean and healthy Hudson River ecosystems and communities!
How to Join
To participate, register here and pay the $50 entry fee + processing charge.
Set up a fundraising page that you can share with your friends and family. They can choose to donate to your individual campaign and follow your journey. This is a peer driven fundraiser. Raise for the river one mile at a time!
All proceeds go to Hudson River Sloop Clearwater's Educational Programming & Environmental Advocacy work for the Hudson River and its communities.

When you register, please become a fundraiser. Create a customized page to build excitement for your activities and enable donations from friends and family. Share your progress and experiences on social media and encourage your followers to support you!

An After Party with Clearwater!
Join us on Saturday, August 3, 2024, as we celebrate the first annual Paddle for Our Hudson! Live music, food, and drink will help to wrap up this one-of-a-kind event at the Clearwater headquarters in Beacon, NY.
Paddle participants get a free ticket to the after party.

Your Participation Supports Clearwater's Education Programs
Hudson River Sloop Clearwater is a member-supported, non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the Hudson River by inspiring lifelong stewardship of the river and its tributaries through education and advocacy. Clearwater operates an iconic 106’ wooden sailboat taking thousands of children, families, and individuals out on the river each sailing season. Paddle for Our Hudson helps ensure we can continue our environmental education, Youth Empowerment, and advocacy work for generations to come.
Clearwater offers a variety of Hudson River-based environmental education programs. Our signature program is the “Sailing Classroom” aboard the Sloop Clearwater which has become a model for onboard education programs across the country. Learn more at clearwater.org/education.
