5 Mile Trail Run
Event Description
The Cross-Country Trail Run is the first race in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series. Each racecourse runs through the trails on the rolling hills in Cameron Park. As you are running on trails with names like Powerline, Slinky, Mix Master, and Vortex, you may discover how they got their names.
Course Time Limit:
All 5 Mile Trail Run participants need to complete the course in 2 hours. This is a 24 minute/mile pace.
Awards:
Everyone will receive a Finisher Medal. Age Group Awards will only be presented for the 5 Mile Trail Run. The 2 Mile Trail Hike is non-competitive.
Notes:
- Dogs and baby joggers are not allowed on the course for safety reasons.

T-Shirts and Finisher Medals
T-shirt sizes will be guaranteed for all registrants who sign up by February 2, 2026. After that date, T-shirt sizes will be given on a first come first serve basis until we run out of shirts.
All finishers of both the 2 Mile Trail Hike and the 5 Mile Trail Run will receive a finisher medal.
Awards
2-Mile Awards: No awards. This is a non-competitive fitness event.
5-Mile Awards: 1st Overall male and female and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in each 5 yr. age group.
Packet Pickup
All athletes must have a race bib to run the event.
Your race bib and t-shirt are given out at packet pickup (locations, dates, and times listed below). You may pick up multiple packets for friends and family.

Referral Rewards
You can earn a $25 refund by referring 3 friends to participate in the Cross-Country Trail Run. The refund will be credited to you after the 3rd registration is completed.
You will receive a referral code as a link at the bottom of you registration confirmation email. Your friends will need to use that link to register in order for you to get credit for their registration.
Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series
Challenge yourself and run all four races in the Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series. The name is derived by combining the Native American Huaco tribe and Cuatro, which is Spanish for the number four.
There are great running trails throughout the Waco area. The Huaco Cuatro Trail Run Series will feature four of these trails. Three of the trail runs will be in different parts of Cameron Park and one in Woodway Park. Each race will present it's own set of challenges of distance and terrain.
There will be a special finisher medal for each race in addition to age group awards.
