Join us for our 10th year! Run or walk with us on December 12th on a scenic 5K course along the rolling hills of Mine Road in Stafford, VA. Kids 12 and under can join the fun in the 1 Mile Reindeer Run! Costumes are always encouraged, and we'll be awarding prizes to the best costumes at the awards ceremony. Lace up your shoes for a great cause, Gwyneth's Gift Foundation, and kick off the holiday season with us!
All finishers will receive a long-sleeve race t-shirt and custom finisher's medal! #willrunforbling
The Frosty 5K is the 5th and final race in the 2026 Stafford Race Series. If you have completed all 5 races in the Stafford Race Series, be sure to pick up your SRS swag after the race!
There is no paper registration for this race. Registration is online only. Strollers are permitted on the course, but stroller participants must start towards the back. Dogs are not permitted.
We do not allow race transfers or refunds, so if you cannot make it to the race due to illness, travel, etc., please send a friend or family member to pick up your race packet. We do offer the option to purchase race insurance during the registration process, so take advantage of that if you think you may need it!

5K Awards
Overall awards will be based on Gun Time. First 3 Male and Female to cross the finish line are the winners.
Age Group awards will be based on Chip Time.
Overall: Top 3 Male and Female. $100 for first place, $75 for second place, $50 for third place. Note: Overall award recipients will not be eligible for age group awards.
Age Groups: Top 3 Male and Female. Age Divisions are 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over
1 Mile Awards
The Top 3 Male and Female in Age Division will win an award. The Age Divisions are 6 & Under, 7-9, 10-12.
All awards for the 1 mile races will be based on gun time. The first 3 boys and girls to cross the finish line in each category will be the winners.
The Awards Ceremony for the Reindeer Run will begin around 10:10am, the Awards Ceremony for the Frosty 5K will begin around 10:20am, and the awards ceremony for the Stafford Race Series will follow.
This Race Supports Gwyneth's Gift Foundation
Our mission is to serve as a catalyst to ensure that those suffering an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest have a greater chance of survival because they were provided with immediate life saving measures from a community member educated on how to administer CPR and utilize an AED.
Our vision is a community that is educated, confident, and capable of responding to save the life of an individual in need of CPR. Gwyneth’s Gift is a world where everyone can save a life! Through this work her spirit of caring, compassion, and community live on.
Our goals are to promote the importance of CPR and AEDs through education and public awareness campaigns; provide funding for the placement of AEDs in schools and other public facilities; offer scholarships to deserving high school students and encourage medical research and development in the areas of cardiology, neurology, and traumatic brain injury.
Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick Up will be available TWO nights - Thursday night in Fredericksburg and Friday night in Stafford!
Thursday, December 11th from 3:30-6:30pm at Fleet Feet Fredericksburg - 1993 Carl D. Silver Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
Friday, December 12th from 4:00-6:30pm at the Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center - 1600 Mine Road, Stafford, VA 22554
Packet pick up will also be available race morning starting at 8am near the restrooms near fields 7 & 8.
Race packets will not be mailed. If you cannot make it to the race, you can have a friend pick up your race packet for you.
Race Day Schedule
8am - Packet Pick Up Begins
8:50am - All Reindeer Run 1 Mile athletes report to the starting area on Mine Road
9am - Start of the Reindeer Run
9:20am - All Frosty 5K athletes report to the starting area on Mine Road
9:30am - Start of the Frosty 5K
10:10am - 1 Mile Awards Ceremony, 5K Awards and Stafford Race Series Awards to follow
Parking Information
Parking is available at Embrey Mill Park - 1600 Mine Road.
Both courses are USATF certified.

We have 5 fantastic in-person races that'll keep you moving all year long, so grab your family and friends and get registered! Register with the Stafford Race Series Bundle and save $5 on each race when you register for all 5 at once. Those who complete all 5 races in the series will receive their finisher swag after the Frosty 5K.

The Start and Finish line is located in the same location on the Southbound section of Mine Road just north of the entrance to Embrey Mill Park.
Headphones and earbuds are discouraged.
All finishers will receive custom finishers medal and if you register by the t-shirt deadline, you'll receive a race t-shirt. We do order extra t-shirts and add inventory to the race website, so if you see your size available, you'll receive the size you select. There's also a No T-shirt option you can choose to save $5 if you have an overflowing race t-shirt drawer at home. :)
No, dogs are not allowed on the course, so please leave your furry friends at home.
Yes, we ask that all finishers complete the 5K in under 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Yes, you can send a friend or family member to pick up your packet for you.
We will have one water stop about 1.5 miles in to the race - just past the turnaround at Austin Ridge Drive.
There are restrooms available at Embrey Mill Park and also at the JRSSC.
