Friday - Run Course

ONE IMPORTANT NOTE - Before we talk about the run course. We have found that the late season race has brought us some uninvited guests. There are small stickers in some of the grassy areas between swim and transition. We are doing everything that we can to clean them up before race day BUT, if you have a cheap pair of flip flops or shoes that you want to leave at the water's edge, we will have a mat to place them on. This isn't normally an issue in June... but for some reason we see them now. AGAIN, IF YOU HAVE A PAIR OF SANDALS OR SHOES TO GET YOU TO TRANSITION, YOU MIGHT WANT TO BRING THEM.

Phew. Now no more surprises...ok 2020? So the run course. The course takes you around the grounds of the Lower Shore YMCA and is the same loop that the duathletes do for their first run. When you come out of transition, turn left and head to the woods!!! We will have a large feather flag that says START by the entrance to the trail, and you will see a self serve water table with small bottles of water and Gatorade, should you need something. You will find two (2) trashcans just a bit further in the woods to discard the bottles.

For the triathlon run, and the second Duathlon run... YOU WILL PASS THIS AIDE STATION 3 TIMES!!!! Count with me.... 1, 2, 3. After you pass on the third time, you are on your final loop and will then run to the finish line on the path. This will be very clear where the finish chute is.

When you leave transition you will see the aide station (that's 1). When you complete a full loop and go back in to the woods (that's 2) and go 'round one more time, (that's the 3rd time). Then you get to run on home.

For the kids triathlon, this is the same loop that they will run, but only ONE time. They get to do loops on the bike course on the grounds.

DON'T FORGET, AT 9AM TOMORROW, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL WITH A MANDATORY COVID SURVEY. You only have to fill it out electronically and we will post it on the top of the website, in case you won't have easy access to email. Worst case scenario, someone can help you on race morning complete it electronically, but you will not be allowed in to transition without completing.

So, in conclusion:
1) Stickers in the grass so bring shoes or sandals
2) Tri and Du (second run) is THREE LOOPS. You pass the aide station 3 times!!
3) MANDATORY email survey to complete at 9am tomorrow

Great! We will send out one last little email tomorrow afternoon with any last minute questions. Have a great Saturday, and we can't wait to see you on Sunday morning!
