By signing below, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Heartfulness Institute (“HI”), any volunteer, trainer, manager, or employee of HI, its affiliates, and their respective successors, assigns, shareholders, partners, members, directors, officers, and agents (collectively, the “Releasees”), from any and all liability, loss, damage, cost or expense and any claim or demands therefor, on account of injury or death to me for any reason whatsoever, including while I am in, upon, or about the facilities or equipment of the above-referenced Location Operator or participating in any event, activity, or program sponsored by HI or any of the Releasees. I hereby covenant not to sue any Releasee in connection with such liability.
I understand that Heartfulness Institute offers its relaxation, yoga, meditation, and spirituality programs at no charge to all seekers. These programs are not a substitute for medical care. I agree to consult a physician before beginning any exercise program, including those offered by HI. If I experience pain or difficulty during the programs, I will stop and consult my healthcare provider.
Yoga includes physical movements and an opportunity for relaxation and relief of muscular tension. As with any physical activity, there is a risk of injury. If I experience pain or discomfort, I will discontinue the activity and ask for support. I assume full responsibility for any damages incurred.
Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention or treatment. It is not recommended under certain medical conditions. By signing, I affirm that my physician has approved my participation. If I am pregnant, become pregnant, or am post-natal or post-surgical, I confirm that I have my physician’s approval and I am participating at my own risk. I understand that I am fully responsible for my own health and well-being and that of my unborn child(ren), if applicable.
When participating in online or virtual sessions:
- I acknowledge that I am responsible for ensuring the safety of my environment.
- I accept that Heartfulness cannot monitor my practice remotely and is not liable for injuries sustained outside the studio setting.
- I agree to modify my practice as needed, based on my own comfort and capacity.
I confirm that I am over 18 years of age, of sound mind, and am participating of my own free will. I agree that this release will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, assigns, executors, administrators, successors, guardians, and personal representatives. I agree that signing or accepting this agreement electronically is binding.
This waiver and release of liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and Heartfulness Institute, and I sign it of my own free will. I will not perform any act or service that I am not comfortable with, even if directed by any member of the institute. I am participating voluntarily and of my free will.
PHOTO RELEASE
As we go through our retreat or workshop, we would love to capture special moments to share with participants and for use in our website and social media to showcase our events and activities.
I hereby grant permission to Heartfulness Institute to use photographs and/or videos of me taken at this event in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Heartfulness Institute or its affiliates.
