MINOR RACERS
I agree that my child is capable of completing the course independently and understand that outside assistance is not permitted.

PACKET / BIB PICK-UP POLICY
I acknowledge that I must pick up my bib at a designated pre-race bib pick-up location and present a valid driver’s license. As the parent or legal guardian of a participant under 18, I may pick up their bib. I understand that no bibs will be distributed on race day. 

BIKE DROP-OFF AND DAMAGE WAIVER
I acknowledge that participation in the Event involves the risk of damage to personal property, including my bicycle. This risk applies from the time I deliver my bicycle to the race venue on Saturday, May 16, 2026, until I retrieve it on Sunday, May 17, 2026, including time in transition areas, while being transported between transition areas, or during the Event.

I hereby release and discharge, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Gold Nugget Triathlon, Inc., its officers, directors, agents, contractors, volunteers, and representatives, from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from loss of or damage to my bicycle during this period.

I will personally deliver my bicycle to the transition area on Saturday, May 16, 2026, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. I will not request another person to retrieve my bicycle except as allowed under USAT rules.

Exception: A registered participant may deliver another participant’s bicycle at bike drop-off only if the original participant is unable to attend. In such cases, the delivering participant will not enter the transition area; a volunteer will place the bicycle in the designated spot.

HELMETS
To comply with USAT rules and for safety, I will wear a helmet at all times before, during, and after the Event, including when traveling to or from my vehicle.

BIKE CORRAL PICK-UP AND SECURITY POLICY
For the security of all participants’ bicycles, only registered participants may retrieve bicycles from the corral/transition area on race day.

If a participant is unable to personally retrieve their bicycle, they must coordinate in advance with the Race Directors. Bicycles will not be released to any other individual without explicit approval from the Race Directors.

This policy is strictly enforced to ensure the security of all bicycles.

RUN COURSE ACCESS AND SAFETY POLICY
For the safety of all participants, the run course is restricted to active racers and designated race personnel only. Participants, spectators, or any non-racers may not enter or pass beyond the race gates onto the run course.

Only official volunteers and race personnel are permitted in restricted areas. Violations of this policy may result in disqualification or removal from the Event and are strictly enforced to maintain the safety and integrity of the race. 

REFUNDS
The Event may be cancelled for reasons including, but not limited to, weather, natural disasters, or threats to local or national security, including suspected terrorist activity. No refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation. 

PHOTOGRAPHS
I grant permission to Gold Nugget Triathlon, Inc. and its authorized agents to use my name, likeness, photographs, video, and recordings of the Event for any lawful purpose.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
I understand that providing personal information, including date of birth, is voluntary but required for Event participation. I hereby release and discharge, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Gold Nugget Triathlon, Inc., its officers, directors, agents, contractors, volunteers, and representatives, from any claims arising from the use or misuse of such information. 

VIRTUAL REGISTRATION SWAG POLICY, SHIPPING and TRANSFERS

There is no in-person pickup option for Virtual Swag.

Virtual racers who register on or before March 11, 2026 will receive a race shirt and swim cap.

Swag availability cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 11, 2026.

All virtual race packets will be shipped with dates contingent on items arriving from the printer.

Registrations before March 11 ship the week of May 9 and those after March 11 have the latest shipping date of the week of May 18.

In-person to virtual transfers: Participants transferring from the in-person race to the virtual race will also have their SWAG shipped.
