Triathlon Events

Age Group - Open to Everyone.
Rookie/First-Timer - Reserved for athletes completing their first triathlon. This welcoming category allows beginners to race alongside other first timers, though participation is optional. The same courses and USA Triathlon rules apply.
Clydesdales & Athenas - Males over 220lbs and females over 165lbs may register to race this category if they wish.
Guardians - Those that are active or retired police, fire, EMS, and military may register to race this category if they wish. Spouses welcome too.
Paratriathlete - An alternative means of participation for individuals who are impaired.
Recreational - TIMED BUT AWARDS INELIGIBLE (LAST SWIM WAVE) - For participants who can safely complete the swim but want extra support from approved swim aids.
- Tow buoys are allowed in this category.
- Neoprene garments are allowed in all categories when the water temp is 78°F or colder.
- When the water temp is 78.1°F to 83.9°F, neoprene garments are still allowed but only in the Recreational category (no awards).
- Those that still want to use them but are not in the Recreational category race morning must switch to it prior to the start of their event. We will be able to easily accommodate this at race start.
- When the water temp is above 83.9°F, neoprene garments are not allowed in any category.
- Fins, hand paddles, swim gloves, pull buoys, and audio devices are prohibited in every category.
- Participants must provide their own equipment. All standard bike, run, and transition rules still apply.
Relay Teams - Teams of 2 or 3 athletes. All male, all female, or mixed teams.

Swim and bike only. Your race finishes when you cross the timing mat going back into transition after your bike. Claim your medal at the finish.
