P.R. Event Management is extremely disappointed to announce that the 38th Annual Memphis in May Triathlon that had been rescheduled for August 22 and 23, 2020, is now canceled. Having raced, volunteered and managed the Memphis in May Triathlon for the past 35 years, we at P.R. Event Management must consider the health and safety of our racers, volunteers, sponsors, and staff as our first priorities.
With the state of emergency for COVID-19 now extended to August 29, 2020, by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, it is deemed unsafe to gather large crowds even outdoors. Unfortunately, this decision will also apply to 31st Annual Dragonfly Sprint Triathlon scheduled in Sardis, Mississippi, on August 29, 2020, which, too, is now canceled. Registered participants and all fees for the Memphis in May Triathlons or the Dragonfly Triathlon will automatically be transferred to the 2021 events.
These are unprecedented times for all of us, and P.R. Event Management encourages all of our triathletes, staff, sponsors and volunteers to stay safe and continue to follow the recommendations of health officials; from frequent hand washing and wearing masks, to social distancing as much as your situation allows. Get outside to bike and run (and swim). We will get through this stronger. Stay well!

With the health and safety of our racers, volunteers, sponsors, and staff as our top priorities, we will postpone the May 16 & 17, 2020 Memphis in May Triathlon Race Weekend to Aug. 22 & 23, 2020.
As these are unprecedented times for all of us, Memphis in May Triathlon encourages all of our triathletes, staff, sponsors and volunteers to stay safe and continue to follow the recommendations of health officials; from frequent hand washing and sanitizing, to working from home if possible and social distancing as much as your situation allows. Get outside to bike and run, walk the dog, do dry land swim exercises, weight train with soup cans. Let's pull together to help our neighbors, we will get through this stronger. Stay well!
