Join us for the 6th Annual Onalaska Half Triathlon located in the town of Onalaska in Lake Livingston. This year our event will be back at the KOA in Onalaska with camping, RV, and cabins spots available both Friday and Saturday nights. The KOA is located approximately 10 minutes off 59 on Hwy. 109 at 15152 US Hwy., 190 West, Onalaska, 77380.

Enjoy a great lake swim followed by a beautiful scenic ride through Lake Livingston and a nice run. This event will start at 7am. This is a great practice event for all those doing fall Ironman's.

More Information

SWIM – The swim is a 1.2 mile open water lake swim in Lake Livingston. We will have horseshoe line course with a wave start, and a cut off time of 75 minutes.

BIKE – The bike is 56 miles through quiet rolling hills which cut through the Texas forest. Bike cut off time is 12pm. There will be rest stops at mile markers  21, 31, and 45; complete with water, food, and GU Products. The rest stops located at mile 31 & 45 will have rest rooms.

RUN – The run is 13.1 miles by Lake Livingston and through area neighborhoods in Onalaska. This course is flat and you will do three loops and head back to the finish line. We will start the rest stops at mile 2 and they will continue every two mile after and will be complete with water, food, GU Products, and we have located rest rooms at the largest rest stop.

There will be no event day packet pick-up unless you have signed up for that at registration. There are no refunds, but you may transfer to another event  if notified 72 hours prior to packet pick up, but not another athlete.  This event will take place rain or shine. Courses and/or race segments may be altered based on safety first; if this occurs refunds will not be issued.

Route Maps:
This is a chip timed event; all splits will be included with transitions. Chips are given out the morning of the event and turned in at the finish line.  Occasionally a split is missed due to a misread or improper chip placement.  We apologize now if this happens. 

Overall top male and female, overall top master’s male and female will receive medals. Top 3 in age groups and relay teams will receive medals. (Age groups are 14-under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-Plus. Clydesdale & Athena division (39 and Below, 40 and Above) will also receive a medal).

Athletes relax and refuel with refreshments sponsored by local sponsors. Numerous door prizes will be handed out during the awards ceremony. All finishers will receive a medal, shirt (you are quaranteed a shirt if registered before we order them) and other items.

If arrangements have not been made to pick up your packet by the last packet pick up time and day, your packet can be resold. 

USA Triathlon Sanctioned Event

This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event so a USA Triathlon membership will be required by each athlete participating.  If you do not have a membership you can purchase one when you register or at packet pick up.  An annual membership for 17 and under is $10, a one day for 18 and older is $15, and an annual for 18 and older is $50.  For more information please visit;




Cancellation Policy

This is a rain or shine event. Occasionally weather can play a part in an event; if this occurs we will make all efforts to continue the event with your safety our first concern.  If the event must be cancelled or rescheduled you will be moved to the new date; cancelled and rescheduled events are not refundable.
