Pool helper

Details

You may be asked to: group students into swim waves, count laps for kids, help kids out of the pool, keep non-event people off the pool deck.

Location

Service High School pool, pool deck

Transition 1 Area (swim to bike) helper

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

You may be asked to: point athletes to the area where their bike is located, help struggling athletes put on gear and/or mount their bike.

Location

Directly to the right of the pool building, between the pool and Service High School, in the parking lot.

Bike Course helper

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

You will have a specific spot on the bike course (and be given a map and walkie talkie) and watch for kids who get injured, have a bike problem or need help.

Location

The paved road that goes all the way around Service High School.

Transition 2 Area (bike to run) helper

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

You may be asked to: verbally tell kids to dismount their bike, help kids dismount their bike, remind kids to take off their helmets, assist kids in parking/taking their bikes.

Location

Directly in front of the Service High School pool, between the building and Abbott Rd.

Run Course helper

At least 15 more volunteers needed.

Details

You will be given a specific spot on the course (and a map and walkie talkie) and will watch for struggling or injured runners, point runners in the right direction.

Location

The trail known as "Randy's Loop" directly behind the Service High School track.

First Aid Station helper

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

You may be asked to: treat injuries, care for injured kids, monitor injured kids.

Location

At the NW corner of the Transition 1 Area spot.

Set Up Crew

At least 20 more volunteers needed.

Details

Please arrive at 8:00a.m. ready to set delineators (tall orange candlestick traffic cones) out on the bike and run courses and to mark both transition areas, chalk parking spots for all participant bikes in both transition areas, sweep areas of the bike course and transition areas, set up the registration area and finish line.

The entrance to the Service High School Pool.

Clean Up Crew

At least 20 more volunteers needed.

Details

Disassemble and move all delineators (tall orange candlestick traffic cones), take down all surveyor tape along all courses.

Location

The entrance of the Service High School pool.

Registration helper

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

You may be in charge of checking in all kids in a specific grade level, writing race numbers on athletes, showing kids to their bike parking spots.

Location

The entrance to the Service High School pool.

Finish Line helper

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Help hand out medals at the finish line and call kids names.

Snack Prep

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Meet at Trailside, Saturday, May 12 @ 8am to cut and box fruits and snacks.

Snack Station

At least 3 more volunteers needed.
