I have been volunteering at Friendship Circle for a little over 6 years and it is truly one of the best experiences. I value this community and everyone in it. Through Friendship Circle I have learned how to be a leader, a friend, compassionate, understanding, respectful, patient, resilient, and so much more. It is incredibly difficult for me to put into words all this organization has done for me over the years. It has given me to many opportunities - the best one being Paige.
Meeting Paige was one of the greatest blessings I have ever gotten. She is the sweetest, kindest, funniest soul and I love getting to spend time with her. Every Sunday morning, she comes in laughing and smiling making everyone around her laugh and smile as well. When she walks into the room everyone there starts smiling purely because she brightens ever room she walks into with her contagious energy and bright smile. She is the only person who can drag me out of bed at 8:30 in the morning!
The 3.5 years Paige and I have been friends we have made a strong friendship, one that I hope will continue to develop over the next year. Knowing that next year will be the last I ever spend with her makes me sadder than I can express in writing. I hold our bond extremely close to my heart and can't wait to see what next year holds for us!
