I am taking part in the FDNY Foundation’s Summit Climb in honor of the men and women who ascended with purpose, courage, and the singular mission to save others. This climb represents the spirit of service that defines our first responder community: stepping upward into uncertainty so that others might live.
As a former NYPD officer who responded on 9/11 and later retired from the Emergency Service Unit, this cause is deeply personal. I carry with me the memory of those who showed absolute resolve on one of the hardest days in our history, and the countless acts of bravery that followed. This event is a way to honor them: those we lost, those who served beside us, and those who continue to answer the call today.
I’m proud that SL Green, the company I’m now part of, serves as the main sponsor of this climb and hosts the event at One Vanderbilt. Their support helps make this tribute possible, and I’m honored to take part in the climb both personally and as a member of the SLG team.
By supporting the FDNY Foundation, you help ensure firefighters and first responders receive the training, equipment, and resources they need to keep serving with the same readiness and dedication our city depends on. Every contribution, no matter the amount, strengthens that mission.
Thank you for your support, your generosity, and for helping honor those who ascended to save.
