This 4th of July, I am proudly volunteering at the Market Street Mission 5K Race for Recovery. While I am giving my time to help the event run smoothly, I have also set a personal goal to raise $200 for this incredible organization.
I am dedicating my efforts and fundraising to the memory of Craig Davidson. Several years ago, our division at the Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) tragically lost Craig. He was a talented young Contract Specialist and, more personally, he was my direct report.
Craig was an integral part of our team, but behind the scenes, he was fighting a difficult battle with addiction. Following his passing, his family courageously shared his struggle and requested that memorials be directed to the Market Street Mission. They knew firsthand how vital local, compassionate recovery resources are for individuals and families in our community.
Time has passed, but Craig’s impact on our team has not been forgotten. By fundraising for the Market Street Mission, I want to honor his memory by turning a painful loss into tangible hope for someone else.
The Market Street Mission provides hot meals, emergency shelter, and long-term, life-changing addiction recovery programs right here in Morristown—completely free of charge to those who need them. Every dollar raised helps provide a safe haven and a fresh start for men fighting the same battle Craig fought.
Thank you so much for helping me honor Craig’s legacy and support healing in our community.
All support for the Mission’s programs comes from individuals, businesses, civic organizations and foundations in the local area. The Market Street Mission is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations to the Mission’s programs are fully tax deductible as permitted by law. EIN #22-6047486
