Every day, we stand alongside people whose lives have been impacted by cancer—patients, survivors, caregivers and families. It’s why this cause is deeply personal to the teams inside the cancer center at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital and the Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center, both professionally and personally. We show up with a relentless commitment to care, hope and progress, and that same spirit drives our involvement in the American Cancer Society’s Sole Burner 5K Walk-Run.
In the weeks leading up to the event, our team will be fundraising to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. On event day, we’ll walk and run to honor the lives lost, celebrate survivors and stand in support of the caregivers who give so much of themselves every day.
The funds raised through Sole Burner power meaningful, life-changing work—fueling innovative research, providing trusted information and delivering practical support like rides to treatment and lodging for patients who must travel for care. These efforts remove barriers, strengthen communities and help save lives. It’s progress worth pursuing relentlessly.
We invite you to join us—by donating, sharing our page or walking alongside us. Together, we can keep pushing forward, staying relentless and making a real difference in the fight against cancer.
