I’m fundraising in honor of little Anna, daughter of my OT school classmate, Lucy Ericson. Just before Christmas, Anna suddenly lost all function in her lower body after weeks of misdiagnosed illness. Doctors discovered tumors on her spinal cord and in her lungs, and she was life-flighted to Little Rock for emergency treatment. That quick action helped restore some function, and Anna was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.
By her 4th birthday, Anna had already endured radiation, chemotherapy, multiple procedures under anesthesia, and countless "pokes". I’m participating in the Race to Cure Sarcoma on behalf of the Ericson family and in support of Anna.
To donate directly to the Ericson family, please follow this link to their account with Arkansas Able (code S5V-N3L). This is less restrictive than GoFundMe and funds can go directly to medical bills and any other essential needs.
You can follow along with Anna's updates here.
Thanks to the Race to Cure Sarcoma events, SFA has funded over 200 grants in 12 countries leading to close to 200 total publications, adding to the sarcoma research discourse. This has led to $26 million+ in additional funding, 10+ clinical trials with 5 additional pending, and 2 patents. Your investment in the RTCS events, is an investment in saving lives.
