Please join us in support of our mom and many others who have been diagnosed with a form of brain cancer. This year we are running with an extra pep in our step because Lauri is in remission!
Our mom, Lauri, was diagnosed with oligodendroglioma in November 2023. She had brain surgery in December 2023, and then began radiation and chemotherapy in February 2024. Now, in April of 2025 she is almost finished with chemotherapy! She has been brave, persevering, and resilient throughout this journey, and a stranger on the street wouldn't believe how much she has been through in this short period of time!
We are incredibly grateful for the research and advances in treatment that have given us hope despite a terrifying diagnosis. We fundraise to build upon past progress, to honor the lives of those lost, and to bring us closer to the day that brain cancer is no longer a threat!
All proceeds will directly benefit the University of Alabama Birmingham Division of Neuro Oncology and Children’s of Alabama Neuro Oncology for research of adult and pediatric brain cancer as well as patient support services. Thank you for your support!
