Four years ago, I signed up for my first Lowvelo Charity Ride thinking it would simply be a bike ride for a great cause. What I didn't realize was how much this event would come to mean to me.
Like so many of us, cancer has touched my life. I've watched people I care about face diagnoses, treatments, uncertainty, and incredible courage. I've seen the strength of families, the compassion of friends, and the heartbreaking reality that far too many people know all too well. That's why I keep coming back.
This year will be my fourth Lowvelo ride, and every mile I ride is for those who are fighting, those we've lost, and those who will face this disease in the future. When my legs get tired during training or on ride day, I remember that many people would gladly trade places with me just to have the opportunity to ride.
I'm asking for your help in turning those miles into hope.
