Miles and our family have benefited from the connections we have made with Cancer Support Center. CSC has offered us ongoing support and connection as we navigate survivorhood. Having faced a brain tumor and radiation treatment at age three and the regular hospital follow-ups that continue will always be a part of Miles’s and our identities, but we always try to focus on the support and love we have received through the journey. Hoosiers Outrun Cancer and the events held by CSC throughout the year are an integral part of that.
Funds from Hoosiers Outrun Cancer go directly to Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana (CSCSCI) which provides FREE programs to ANYONE impacted by cancer, including patients, survivors, family, friends, and care givers. A few examples of how CSC helps families in our community are: counseling & support groups, nutrition & exercise classes, reiki & massages, cancer education, social connections with other survivors and families, food & transportation assistance, a wig boutique, comfort kits, and so much more.
