At Homeward Pet, our mission is to transform the lives of cats and dogs through compassionate medical care, positive behavior training, and successful adoption while building a more humane community. Our mission is fundamental to everything we do. 

What makes us unique is how we do it.  We’re a private shelter, with both behavior and medical proficiency.  Most of our animals come to us from partner shelters.  They rely on us to alleviate overcrowding, sparing animals from euthanasia.  Our partners know we have the ability to assess and assist these dogs & cats, to support them in a fear-free environment, and provide them with the resources they need on their journey to a loving home.

We don’t put a time limit on any animal’s stay with us.  We are committed to working with an animal as long as it takes to help them overcome behavior or medical issues.   Homeward Pet is the resource that shelters around the region rely on to take in animals that need a bigger, longer investment, to make them whole, and to find them the right forever home.
