Mackinac Bridge Swim

Last year I participated in this fundraiser for the First Responders of St Ignace and Mackinaw City as a volunteer.  My sister actually swam the straits under the Mackinac Bridge to the finish line.  I was there to hug her as she completed the grueling 4 1/2 mile distance.  I was impressed with bravery of all the swimmers, the safety precautions that were in place and the amount of money that was raised for the First Responders.  $50,000!!!!  Needless to say my sister Christina inspired me to join her as a swimmer this year instead of a being a much needed volunteer for the event.  She always encourages me to do things outside my comfort zone.  I am scared to do this swim but I am going to put my fear aside and do it anyway.  Prayers are welcomed for my training, my metal focus and for the long swim.  All the contributions raised on my behalf will go directly to the First Responders.  Thank you! 🏊‍♀️
