This year, the Atlanta Pride Run (like many other pride events) is retaining a virtual component, and I'll be participating as a virtual runner again this year.
Front Runners Atlanta, which has organized the Atlanta Pride Run for the past 30 years, donates the proceeds to LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS charities across the city of Atlanta. Previous recipients have included AID Atlanta (an HIV/AIDS service provider), Positive Impact Health Center (an HIV/AIDS community medical provider), Lost & Found Youth (a LGBTQ+ youth homeless shelter), and more!
This year, funds from the Atlanta Pride Run will benefit Joining Hearts Atlanta, which supports medical care and housing assistance needs for those impacted by HIV/AIDS in Atlanta. Given the challenges related to COVID-19, these non-profit organizations are in even more need of the funds from this event, and I'm so happy to be able to help by virtually running.
You can donate in one of two ways: 1) you can donate to my Facebook fundraiser or 2) you can donate via the sponsor page for the virtual run. And finally, a donation of anything you can spare (even a few dollars) is very helpful!
