I’m not a runner, so I usually shy away from events like this—but this one truly spoke to me.
Four years ago, I moved to Poughquag and became part of a close-knit neighborhood. Only recently did I learn about the incredible work Sparrow’s Nest does in our community and throughout the Hudson Valley. This organization delivers homemade meals to families facing a cancer diagnosis across Dutchess, Putnam, Ulster, Orange, and Northern Westchester counties, providing comfort during incredibly difficult times.
I’ve joined Team Live Like Lauren and am walking in honor of a grandfather I never had the chance to meet but whose traditions we still cherish, a father-in-law I’ve only heard wonderful stories about, and two young mothers in my circle who lost their battle with cancer. Seeing the profound impact on their families has made this cause even more meaningful to me.
I would be so grateful if you considered donating—every contribution helps Sparrow’s Nest continue its incredible mission. You can use my link to give any amount. Thank you for your support!
