What happens to proceeds from the race?

During the 2024 Race Around the World for Education, the MREF is harnessing the collective generosity of the MR community to support organizations dedicated to ensuring that vulnerable children receive the protection, education, and nurturing they need to thrive. We are proud to support a diverse group of grantees that share our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of children. Together, we can race to fill the gaps that threaten to leave our world's most vulnerable children behind.

The grantees for 2024 include:
•    Start Lighthouse – supporting early literacy development in the Bronx.
•    Hogar Montiel Girls Association – providing support and education to neglected girls in Costa Rica.
•    Baal Dan – funding grassroots organizations to provide help to vulnerable children in need in the most direct way possible.
•    Urban Sprouts Child Development Center – providing children in Missouri with a nurturing environment that fosters a love of learning.
