Jennifer Craig - President

Jenn Craig has been a member of PSRR for 3+ years. She joined PSRR for friendships and fun. She is dedicated and willing to help. She is looking forward to developing a great circuit and growing PSRR. She has board experience from serving her HOA for over 4 years. In her time on the board, she has served and negotiated with the management company for yearly rates. She also serves as a property asset manager as a side job.  Her day job is an auditor for Albertsons Companies. She pays great attention to detail and is results driven. She is ambitious and strives to achieve her goals.  She can’t wait to carry this ambition to PSRR.  She wants to help grow the 25-35 age group to assist in keeping the club going and ever-changing.

Damien Mangabhai - Treasurer

Hello PSRR, my name is Damien Mangabhai.  I have been an active runner for 15 years, with 12 of them being part of Prairie State Road Runners.  I enjoy the sport of running but have really grown to love the running community.  I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the board and look forward to supporting this great organization.

Amanda Henkaline - Secretary

As a child, Amanda played multiple sports, including soccer, basketball, and softball.  Although she was active, she did not enjoy running when she was younger.  She got into running in 2016 when her second daughter was 2, as a way to be more active.  She joined PSRR in 2020 as a way to learn more about running and to meet more runners.  Amanda ran her first and only marathon, the Chicago Marathon, in 2023 and completed her first relay marathon this past year.  She is excited to join the board as a way to be more actively involved in the club and looks forward to running different types of races in different destinations in the future.

Gabriela Martinez

Gabriela has been active in this group for 15 years as a supporter and volunteer. She has participated in numerous Sunday Funday runs and other PSRR events. Gaby has also been to the Boston Marathon a few times with her running hubby, Javier, and volunteered at the 2022 and 2024 event. After taking up running a couple of years ago, she’s learning to love a sport that has always been a struggle and a challenge for her. One of her biggest accomplishments is running the Hennepin 50K in October of 2024, prior to that the 2023 Galena Sky Trail Race completing 7 loops (20.37 miles) was her biggest race. She ran her first marathon in October of 2025 (OMR-DPR Trails) Gabriela wants to give back to the PSRR running community, a group that has welcomed her with open arms and through which she has made some long-lasting friendships. She would love to be part of the work that goes on ‘behind the scenes,’ to assist with any events that this club hosts throughout the year, and to build on extending connections with other similar types of organizations. She is currently serving as a Trustee on the Village of Minooka Board.

Mike McGowan

Mike has been a member of PSRR since late 2023 very shortly after he started his running journey.  In 2023 Mike had a wild notion after never being a runner his whole life that he wanted to run the Disney marathon along with getting in healthier shape and used ‘23 & ‘24 to train and completed that goal in January of ‘25.  Mike joined PSRR looking for connections and support for his running journey and found it quickly and has reconnected with past friends from childhood due to PSRR and has made several new friends along the way.

Mike works in education and also serves as a board member for the Illinois Digital Educators Alliance, the state's Educational Technology organization and has been on that board now for 21 years, currently as the Historian.  He served as the organization's president at their toughest time as he led them though a necessary rebranding and COVID at the same time.  So he is no stranger to the inner workings of a volunteer organization's board and the challenges and needs they face.

With Mike’s past experiences and skills he can bring some new ideas to the board to keep the organization fresh and moving forward while also keeping the traditions and goals of the organization in tack to support current and new members alike.

Daisy Serrano

Daisy decided to step up into this director position because running has given her and her family so much in the short time she’s been a PSRR run club member. Most importantly a sense of belonging and of a supportive community. She wants to continue to help strengthen that experience for others.
She has volunteered numerous hours at her local church and at her job, helping out where she can for her fellow church and work friends.
Daisy’s goal is to help the club grow, support many programs and opportunities it offers and to help new faces feel encouraged and supported by our club.

John Seplak

John Seplak began running in 1999 after joining the Army, building on an active childhood spent rollerblading for hours at a time. Those early years helped shape a lasting appreciation for endurance and movement.

His first race was the Chicago Marathon in 2003. Experiencing the scale, energy, and shared effort of a major race sparked a deep connection to the sport. Since then, John has gone on to complete many additional races, continuing to develop as a runner.

Running has remained a constant throughout John’s military service and civilian life. He aspires to qualify for the Boston Marathon and has been training with that specific goal in mind over the past year. While deployed in 2024, he ran more than 4,000 miles and served as the coordinator for the USO Run Club on base, where he found purpose in supporting and celebrating fellow runners’ accomplishments, both big and small.
