Founded in 2008, People Loving Nashville (PLN) shares love and dignity with people experiencing homelessness in Nashville. Services seek to provide relief, community, connection, and restoration to Nashville’s unhoused community. PLN staff and trained volunteers build meaningful relationships with Nashville’s unhoused community through weekly outreach events and long-term restoration programs that lead to immediate relief and healing from long-term trauma.
PLN’s work is structured around two pillars: Relief and Restoration. Relief encompasses PLN’s Street Outreach (every Monday and Thursday night: 40,000+ meals annually), which serves unhoused neighbors with hot meals, seasonal clothing, hygiene supplies, survival gear, and meaningful relationships. For those ready to take the next step, Restoration provides trauma-informed, relationship-driven pathways to housing, healing, employment readiness, life skills development, financial stability, and housing stabilization (72 people were permanently housed in 2023). Through these pillars, PLN reaches over 2,500 people annually.
